Consultation fees will be discussed before any appointment is made and are currently set below the Australian Psychological Society recommended hourly fee for psychologists.
You may be eligible for rebates from your private health insurance, depending on your health plan. You may also be able to claim a proportion of your fees from Medicare, if you have a referral and a “care plan” from your doctor. It is up to you doctor to assess you as suffering from a condition that is rebatable by Medicare.
Appointments are typically 50-60 minutes long. The initial appointment may be longer, to allow time to gain a detailed understanding of you and your needs.
When we first meet, we will discuss your goals and expectations and how we might work together. In latter sessions we will generate a flexible plan that suits you. To help you get the most out of your appointments, we will periodically review the progress of your therapy, with reference to your goals.
